There has been a lot of confusion recently when a letter went out informing patients that have a routine hearing loss that they had reached the end of their contract at Derby Hospital’s Audiology.
CamTAD Hearing Support have organised an event where patients can come along and speak to some of the local providers so that they can discuss what kind of support they can expect and see the types of hearing aids that are offered.
The event will take place in the foyer at London Road Community Hospital, close to the main entrance. As well as the NHS hearing care providers, staff and volunteers will be on hand to give you support and offer impartial advice.
Parking is free for 30 minutes in the Hospital car parks and there will be plenty of disabled spaces if required. We will be providing refreshments too.
The event takes place on Saturday 17th November, 10am – 2pm at London Road Community Hospital.
Each of the providers will have their own stall and will welcome patients to discuss their services either one to one or in small groups.
The four providers taking part are Mediscan, Scrivens, The Outside Clinic and Specsavers.
Please note that if you have not received a letter from Derby Hospitals Audiology department regarding a change in your hearing care then you may be classed as a complex hearing patient and therefore will remain with the hospital. If you have any concerns please contact us and we can check with Audiology for you.
