We are really pleased to announce that our hearing aid clinics are returning to London Road Community Hospital from Saturday 20th June. There are some major changes due to the Covid-19 pandemic but we have worked with the hospital departments to ensure that you are kept safe.
We have arranged these sessions to be on a Saturday, partly because this is when the hospital is at it’s quietest. We may introduce more sessions if the service gets busy so please bear with us if we are initially booked up.
This will be an appointment only service and we ask that you do not arrive any more than 5 minutes before your appointment. We can greet you at your car if you would rather not risk coming into the hospital.
We are unlikely to return to offering clinics in the community for some time as many of the venues are limiting access or are still closed and many of our volunteers are socially isolating.
If coming into the hospital you must wear a face mask.
To help those who are less able to get out we are also introducing a collection service, where we can pick up your hearing aids from your home on a Friday and drop them back with you the following day (in some cases this might be possible same day). We are asking for people to register initially as we cannot cover the whole of Derbyshire in one day, however our plan is to offer you a service where we service your aids on a quarterly basis, covering a different area each week.
To book an appointment or to register for the home service please call/text/WhatsApp us on 07788715705 or email email@example.com. (please note that the office number is not manned Mondays and Fridays so if you leave a message it may not be picked up straight away).
